Most of the pictures here I have taken during paddling trips. Some have been given to me by friends.

Summer 2001, in the pouring rain, southern Germany. The idea was to go paddle this small river (the Ammer) because it finally started to come up. Well, our German compadres (well recognisable because of their matching grey dry suits) were so afraid of the rain that they decided to go "hide" under the trees, while Steven and I opted for being on the Ammer. The picture is so specky because of the rain which showered down on us. In the picture: Michael Thelen, Christian Stommel, Birgit and Stephan Krings, Reinhard Boling, Steven de Rooij.

Spring 1999, Virginia side parking lot near the Great Falls of the Potomac. David "Fallzboater" Mackintosh and I carrying our kayaks as it should be done, on our heads. For David it felt weird, I was already pretty used to carrying my boat like that...

Autumn 1997, Ourthe river, Tilff, Belgium. We had intended to go paddling there, but a serious lack of water prevented that. This is usually one of the first (and last) places in the Ardennes to have water. Winter 1994, Lesse river, Belgium. This is the opposite situation of the above picture, where too much rain made paddling under (or over) this bridge impossible.
